Tristen got 1st place!

Jon and Tristen did a triathlon with the scouts last Sat. and Tristen got 1st place for his age group. He did so awesome, we are so proud of him. Jon got clipped by another bike and got injured so he did OK, but he finished and that's what's important. He gets the scars as a memory while Tristen gets a medal. It was a great experience!

Last family fun time for the summer!

So we decided to take all the kids to Lagoon for Landen's real birthday on the 26th. It was so much fun! Landen just loved riding the rides, and going to Lagoon a beach (the water park ) down the water slide. So much we couldn't get him away from it. He luckily took a 3hr nap so it gave me time to rest while Tristen and Jon went on all the big rides and the girls went on all the water slides. I have to say I was very impressed with Hannah and Maddy, they rode all the big roller coasters and loved them. Even the one I was scared of "WICKED". I think they are ready for six flags! It was a memory we will always remember, well everyone but Landen.

Happy happy 2nd birthday Landen!

Can you believe it! My baby is turning 2! To think all we went through just to have our precious Landen and now he's 2. I will have to say that I'm glad to be done having babies though, having 3 of my own I think I'm aloud to say that. I will have to say Landen has made me realize that having kids is a special thing that no one can ever replace. Being older and 14 years since my first one makes you view things a lot different. He is great and the older he gets the funnier it is. I see Jon light up when he does something cute and it makes me happy. After all this is the first time planning a child that we both wanted. We cherish every moment because as you can see with Tristen, before you know it, it's gone! 4yrs from now Tristen will be graduating High School and Landen will only be 5 almost 6. Crazy huh! One starting with school, one ending. Man I feel old.
Anyhow, Happy birthday my beautiful baby boy!

The Bayton Family Reunion

We came out to celebrate Scott and Susans 40th anniversary. It was a big Bayton reunion. Everyone came except Carl. It was good times and lots of fun. All the cousins hadn't seen each other for 4 years and we got to meet the new babies. We flew out this time and it was expensive but so worth it. Driving was just not an option. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Fun in Sunny California!

v

The one thing I miss the most from living in California is the Beach! We decided at the last minute to go see my parents and the kids in California and it was a lot of fun. As you can see in most of the pictures I was trying to soak it all up. Just the sound of the waves and seeing the endless water is so relaxing. The feel of the sand in between your toes and laying out to let the Vitamin D in, nothing like it. Landen was scared of the water but loved watching Maddy hop the waves. At least this time he didn't eat the sand =0). It was a well needed short vacation from reality.

Hot Springs Camping Adventure

o

The boys like there camping. Jon being a scout leader gets to have these fun experiences with Tristen and his friends. They hiked 2 to 3 miles in to the hot springs and camped all night. Tristen in case you haven't noticed really likes being without his shirt. His in California right now, hopefully he'll get some sun. j/k Love you Tristen. Fun Times.

Lagoon Date Day!

So I've lived in Utah for 2 1/2 years and have never gone to Lagoon (for those that don't know what that is it's a small version of six flags). So I got a chance to go with my school and chaperone and see what Lagoon was all about. It wasn't too bad, no six flags but very family friendly. All I thought was Jon and I would have so much fun here. So there came the idea to have a day date with our friends Steve and Lisa. It was a lot of fun and now we want to take the kids. The last picture was one we had to take a picture of because it made no sense. Hello there's spikes!

Our houses face lift

So Jon got this idea to of instead of just putting flowers in our flowerbeds we should put pots in the ground so the weeds don't get to them and surround the rest with rocks. At first I was like huh? But I trusted his vision and it took some effort but turned out great. We have flowers in them now and it completely changed the look of our home. Good job Honey!

Mommy/Daughter time together

Anyone that has more than 1 child knows how hard it is to spend that extra time with each child you have. It was especially hard to my Maddy girl when Landen was born and he became baby of the family. Its hard enough when you have to deal with a drama queen like Maddy but to have the attention taken away because of a toddler is something she doesn't quite understand yet. To her it's not fair and I'm a different mom. So anyhow, when I can I try to spend some time alone with her and all is well until I go back home where she's not the baby anymore.

Landens true colors

Landen is a true 1/2 mexican! Doesn't this just look so natural for him? Well at least he looks cute.
