Let it Snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Man it started snowing Tuesday and hasn't stopped. No wait, yesterday it stopped but today it started again and hasn't stopped. The kids love it because they get to play in it, but me I just like staying at home where it's nice and warm! Hot Coco anyone?

Santa Claus is coming to Town!

So the funniest thing happened this last Sat.night. Jon's on the phone, and Maddy and I are in the bathroom getting her ready to take her nightly shower while I'm talking to her dad to find out flight info for next Sat. Anyhow, all of a sudden the doorbell rings, and we hear jingle bells and a "HO HO HO!". Maddy's eyes lite up, and I said "Maddy I think Santa is here." I went out to look and he was. So I got off the phone and tried to help Maddy get dressed again. She was so excited, and said " Mommy, is it really him!" She still to this day can't believe he came to her house. I told her he probably knew that she wasn't going to be here for Xmas so he made a special trip just for her. She felt so special, she couldn't even think of what she wanted when he asked. Once he left she had to call everyone. It was a great experience for all of us.

Grandma came to visit!

So my mom came to visit us this last week, and we all really enjoyed it. It went by fast and we didn't want her to leave but she had to go back to my dad and brothers. She really liked Orem, and said it was very beautiful. We are in the middle of mountains so the scenery is a plus. Hopefully more family can come next time since were easier to get to now.

The Beautiful Temple lights

This is the wonderful part of living here, we don't have to drive so far to Salt Lake anymore to see the beautiful lights at Temple Square.
It was great, we took the train, had hot chocolate and felt the spirit.

God only gives us what we can handle

It looks like I'm having one baby. We have to admit the thought of having twins sounding fun. But one is fine with us as long as it's healthy. We are grateful for whatever God gives us.

Memory Tag

Here's how it works:

1) Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2) Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Just for FUN!

Thanksgiving with Friends

Thanksgiving this year was a lot of fun. We didn't have any family come and see us but The Clarks are the closest thing to family we have here and for that we are very Thankful. Jon cooked the turkey and yams and they provided the rest. It was our very best friends Grant and Gabby and their kids Frankie and Drew. Grants Parents: Bob and Doreen and Grants brother and sister in law visiting from Vegas and their kids. So we had a house full which was great! We have never had a house full since weve been together, we always hoped for it with family and all but being so far away it was never possible. Maybe someday.

Avon here I come

So as some of you may know, we are trying to earn some extra money to help pay unwanted bills. So I decided to start selling AVON. So if I haven't contacted you already drop me an email at jtkmbayton@gmail.com and let me know if you'd like a catalog or maybe would like to look online www.avon.com. They've got really neat stuff and it would help us out a lot. Thanks.

Jon & Kate plus 5?

Yes I'm pleased to say I am pregnant. The blood test confirmed it. Jon and I are very happy to have children together. I'm about 4 weeks along and due July 31st.
My first ultrasound will be in a couple weeks and that will tell all on the twins. I'm hoping they give me a picture so I can scan it in and post it.

Am I aren't I?

You tell me. It looks positive to me, but we won't know for sure until I take a blood test tomorrow. This wait is sheer torture.

Halloween 2008

Madisen couldn't make up her mind this year so she was Minnie Mouse, a Vampire, & a Chinese girl. Man, I hope next year we can stick to one. We went to a trunk or treat at church and then Maddy went trick or treating with Drew. She was only the vampire for school. Tristen was himself with tatoos, j/k. He was suppose to be a skater punk. Whatever that means. I only saw him in the future without the tatoos hopefully. Anyhow, it was hard with Jon being gone but I did it. Thanks Gabby for all your help.

Maddy's 6!

Madisen Elizabeth Nichols is officially 6 years old Oct.30th. We had her birthday party last Sat. and man was that fun. I got the great idea of taking her and her friends to see High School Musical 3. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but there were 8 girls so you can imagine how it was.

Maddy's taking the BUS!

The best thing about our new house is the bus stop is right in front of our house. Maddy was so excited to be riding the bus. Here are some pictures.

Hello UTAH!

So here we are, good ole Orem, Utah. It honestly feels like home to me. Everything is close to us, were close to Gabby and Grant, we found a great house with a big backyard (yes that is a basketball court) and the kids love their school, our new ward is wonderful, and everyone is so friendly here. The first 2 pics are the kids rooms, but you can't tell who's is who.
What else could we want? Well that will hopefully come in a couple weeks. Enjoy the pics.

Goodbye Burley, Idaho

So we finally sold our house in Burley, most of you know. I'm a bit over due to update our blog, so just pretend you don't know, K.
Here are some pictures of our little going away party we had before we left.
Burley was fun, if you like that small town don't have anything to do ever feeling.
j/k, I really loved my job and we made some good friends but it was time for us to move on. And our new place is great, but I'll tell you more about that in a bit.

It's our 3rd Anniversary!

Can you believe it! 3 years feels like 30 with us, I guess it's different when you're older and it's the second time around. We've done really good, we know each other pretty well and enjoy doing a lot of the same things so that helps. Our kids are happy and we have a great family, so what else could you want?

Life should be a Beach!

This year for Labor day we went to California to visit my family and man was it fun. We first drove 8hrs to Sal's house in Sacramento and then we all drove down to Bakersfield together. It made the drive a lot easier on us. We decided to go to Pismo Beach and were glad we did, it was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun. So now a little about the pictures: The first one is us walking onto the sunny beach with all our stuff ready to have fun and relax which is my second picture. The 3rd one is all about Jon finding it interesting how "funny the sand felt by the shore" so then my brother Chris thought it would be fun to dig themselves in. So here is there pose and a little video of the flexibility that Jon has. FYI you have to go to our blog to see the video. www.jonandkatiebayton@blogspot.com

That's what I call a Date Night!

Jon and I don't get a chance to often to go out on a date with not having any family around to babysit, but when we do finally find a babysitter we take advantage. Monday we went to see Sheryl Crow and James Blunt in concert. It was a lot of fun and a great release to sing all her songs along with her. She's great and James Blunt wasn't too bad either. Here's a preview of both of them. Let me just say I'm very lucky to have a husband that I can go and do stuff like this with and not worry about everything else going on in our lives. Thank you Honey, I love you!

Maddy's First Day of Kindergarden

Ahhhh, they grow up so fast. I can't believe my baby is in Kindergarden already. She's been so excited, and she can't wait to have homework (you know that won't last). Tristen started 6th grade 2 days ago and next year he's off to Jr.High. Man I feel old.

Can you believe it?

We recently got a job putting a new logo for this company, and it was the biggest we had ever done. A 5x10' sign to be exact and we did it, man was it a pain but we couldn't believe how big this thing was when we finished it. We just had to take a picture of it.

Katie's 31st Birthday

That's right it was my birthday, and for those that remembered: Thanks! The kids and Jon surprised me with a Wii fit which I've been doing everyday. The flowers were from Tristen and the wallet and shirt with jewerly were from the girls. The older I get the more I'm thankful for the little things I have, like good friends and family.

2008 Spudman

This year Jon swam 1 mile, rode his bike 25, and ran 7 miles in this years Spudman Triathalon. Some might say he's crazy, but I just say that's my Jon! There were thousands from across the nation that were there. He did great, no he didn't win but he didn't stop and he's a winner to me.

Twin Falls Temple

Yesterday we went to the Twin Falls Temple Open House, which was beautiful. For those that don't know, when a temple is built, they have an open house for all to see the inside of the temple, and learn alittle bit about what goes on in there. It was very peaceful and happy place, and we enjoyed the experience. So if you ever get the chance to go to a temple open house don't pass it up!

Another Summer Day

Last weekend was beautiful. Not too hot, not too cold. So we decided to go to Derky's Lake which is a great place to take the kids. It's a short drive to Twin Falls and right next to Shoshone Falls. They have a kid area that is like a beach and so we all built sandcastles. Tristen and Hannah snorkled in the water and Maddy laid out and tanned. Here's a video of the massive destruction afterward.
