2008 Spudman

This year Jon swam 1 mile, rode his bike 25, and ran 7 miles in this years Spudman Triathalon. Some might say he's crazy, but I just say that's my Jon! There were thousands from across the nation that were there. He did great, no he didn't win but he didn't stop and he's a winner to me.

Twin Falls Temple

Yesterday we went to the Twin Falls Temple Open House, which was beautiful. For those that don't know, when a temple is built, they have an open house for all to see the inside of the temple, and learn alittle bit about what goes on in there. It was very peaceful and happy place, and we enjoyed the experience. So if you ever get the chance to go to a temple open house don't pass it up!

Another Summer Day

Last weekend was beautiful. Not too hot, not too cold. So we decided to go to Derky's Lake which is a great place to take the kids. It's a short drive to Twin Falls and right next to Shoshone Falls. They have a kid area that is like a beach and so we all built sandcastles. Tristen and Hannah snorkled in the water and Maddy laid out and tanned. Here's a video of the massive destruction afterward.

Oh the Drama!

Ahh cute right? Not when you deal with the attuitude that I do. For anyone that has a girl, you feel me. For those lucky one's that don't you are luckier than you think. If it's not this it's that, and she's only 5! If something doesn't go her way it's "you hate me" or "you love Tristen more than me!" Was I this bad? To think it will only get worse. By the way the first picture is about 5 mins. later, man and I thought I was moody.

What to do?

This summer we've thought and thought about what to do. And this was one of our options. The city of Burley usually is pretty good at trying to keep kids out of trouble in the summer. For example they can bowl everyday for free including shoes, they get free lunch at the park, they've got the public library that they can play computer games and check out movies for free and on those very hot days there's the Burley Pool. I guess they're are some nice things of living in a small town.

If it's not one thing it's another

Why oh why if it's not one thing it's another? Our tub stopped draining a couple months ago so we got drano and tried everything we could to not call a plumber. For those of you that don't know we've recently spent 5 grand for a lawyer and shrink to try to prove that we are NOT neglecting Hannah and her mother is crazy, so we are pretty much broke now. Anyhow, we finally had to call a plumber and now he tells us we need a new toilet because that's the only way he can drain our main line that is clogged and our toilet is cracked so if he takes it off it will basically crumble. So now it's not only the cost of the plumber but the cost of new toilet also, lucky us!
Why oh why couldn't we have sold the house first?

Part two

This is part two of Madisen's race. It was hot that day and they were having so much fun I wanted to jump in and join along. It's strange to think it's already July (FYI 28 more days until my birthday for those that forgot) Eek, I'm turning 31 it seems like just yesterday I was having such a hard time turning 30.
