Tristen's 6th grade graduation

My baby is leaving elementary school and going into Jr. High. Where has the time gone? Man I'm getting old. His already got a busy life with all his friends everyday, and into his skateboarding and girls are after him. He's practically a teenager. Next thing you know he'll be driving then we'll never see him. He's a good kid though, were lucky enough to have an open relationship with him. We teach him all we can because we were there not too long ago and he knows it. We love him to death and he knows he can always come to us and he does. I'm very proud of him and for the young man he has grown to be. If you want to see the video, you have to visit our blog, and you'll never guess what someone yelled at him. You'll have to go to the blog to find out. www.jonandkatiebayton.blogspot.com

Memorial Day Fun!

Luckily the sun came out, because the day before it was raining here in Utah. We had planned on having a bbque for memorial day and we didn't know what to expect because the weekend had been so rainy but it all worked out. We had swimming, and jumping on the trampoline and playing volleyball. I made this beautiful fruit tray w/ fresh strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, melon, watermelons and oranges. Jon made his famous jello salad and we had cherry limeade which was oh so good. We had a fun, and the day was great.

30 weeks and going!

My baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
I'll tell you what, even though I want him to be healthy, I am very impatient and I want him now. I can't wait to see who he looks like, and how he is. I have my image of him but only God knows. We are very excited.

The funniest place in the neighborhood.

For some reason our backyard was the place to be last weekend. All the kids in the neighborhood came and stayed almost all day. We turned the sprinklers on and they all had a blast. Maddy and her friend Hailey needed to take a break and meditate on the hammock while Hannah and her friend Jesse jumped on the trampoline. All of the other kids played on the swing set in between sprinkler sessions and when those sprinklers went on all the kids went wild! Its good to know that the kids have plenty of friends in our new neighborhood and that were the cool house to hang out at.

Tristen Homemaker

Tristen came home one day and out of no where wanted to make cookies. So I said "Have at it!" He looked at one of my cookbooks and found a recipe and started baking. I hope he's as enthused at cooking other things too. He'll be all ready for home economics next year. Who knows maybe he'll love cooking, he'll become a chef!

Home sweet Home

With the help of my beautiful daughter modeling, here are a few pictures of our new home in Orem. I've unpacked a lot and besides some more curtains and maybe pictures this is basically it. We will do a lot remodeling over next couple years, like new floors, I hate that carpet! And new paint, it can only change for the better. We are happy and have this home one to stay in. Hope everyone can come to see us and see for themselves.

They grow up so fast!

Here are the kids spring pictures. Tristen 12 and Maddy 6, wow don't they look so different. No more babies, good thing I'm having another one and I will cherish every moment believe you me. With Tristen in 7th grade and Madisen in 1st grade next year it will give me plenty of bonding time with Landen. Sometimes it pays off to have them 6 years apart.
