Welcome Home Landen

u
For those of you that don't know, Landen Joseph Bayton was born on Sunday, July 26th, 2009.
I was set to be induced on Monday but my water ended up breaking Sunday afternoon, while sitting on the couch watching the movie Hitch with Jon and his grandma. It was very unexpected, I felt a pop and next thing you know I was gushing water. The look on my face I was told by Jon and Beverly was priceless. The look of fear and wow it's finally here. Everyone started freaking out and running around like chicken's with there heads cut off. They through me in the minivan with no shoes and we raced to the hospital. 4 hours later he was here. It was the easiest labor I had ever gone through. And he is the new love of my life. He is so precious and sweet.

So close yet so far!

Man, has it been a long journey. Jon and I were talking about how with the beginning of the invitro it's been almost a year since we started this and now it's almost over. For some crazy reason my body has not wanted to have this baby so we are being induced Monday the 27th if for some miracle I don't go on my own this weekend. So wish me luck and pray for us for everything to go smoothly. Next week we will have our new addition to the Baytons and all the pain and agony will all have been worth it.

35 weeks, I'm on my way!

Man, do I feel huge. This baby is defiantly growing now. My feet are swollen, and hurt all the time. I found this dress that I've had since I was pregnant with Tristen and it was pretty tight making me think Landen will be as big as Tristen was if not bigger. Which I don't know how with Jon being so small but you never know. I'm going to the doctor every week now and things are moving along good. He said I was dilated at almost 1cm so we'll see next week if he's inching his way out. Were pretty much ready for him to come anytime now, of course the more we wait the healthier he'll be so I can wait, but the hotter it gets here the more I don't want to wait. That and the numbers going up on the scale. You probably don't hear this too often but I can't wait to start exercising and losing weight. We are very excited and pray everyday that we have a strong healthy baby.

Handy Dandy Jon!

My handy husband Jon was able to convert Tristens bed from a loft bed to a full size Daybed and desk. It all started because we are planning on have family come when the baby comes and we kept thinking where are they going to sleep. Man if only we hadn't got Tristen that loft bed, which he hated climbing up and down in now. Then one morning I woke up and thought hey what if we cut the bed down and made it a regular bed that would solve everyones problem. So of coarse Jon said Yeh I can do that and he did. And I was amazed how quickly and easy it was. Tristen loves it and now we have somewhere where our company can sleep. So the first picture if the before and then here we have after. Last picture is Landens little section of the room until he gets older.

Our newest member of the family

This is Daisy, our new dog. The kids and Jon have been begging to get a dog now that we have a house and I said if you find a free one, and I approve than it's ok. It took some searching but we finally found Daisy.
She's very shy and timid which I love. She pretty much a scared y cat but were working on it. She's gotten really close to me which is weird because anyone that knows me knows I'm not a dog person. But she's very sweet. So now everyone's happy. Tristens still at his scouting trip so he will be very happy and surprised when he comes home. She is a miniature pincher although she was spoiled at her old home with table scraps were trying to thin her out because her head is mispaportioned to her body but we love her anyway.

Seven Peaks Waterpark

So the kids had this reading program that they did in school that let them earn a free ticket to Seven Peaks which is the water park that is in Provo right by us. So Jon took the girls today because Tristen was going to go with his friends later and I am 8months pregnant so I couldn't go. Which after seeing the pictures I wish I could have, they had so much fun. Maddy's face on the waterslide is priceless. We always made fun of Tristen with his fearful look when we went to Dinseyland but I think Maddy's face will top Tristens, I don't know you tell me?

Disney Train, sounds fun right? ???

So my friend Gabby invited us to go see this Disney Train that was traveling from New York City around the United States promoting "A Christmas Carol" a movie that has Jim Carey in it. So we decided what the hey, we'll take the girls and check it out. We'll we had no idea that the wait for this would be so long, we got there and the line was a 2 hour and 15min. wait. So then we were like we'll we didn't come all this way (1 hr away) for nothing so we stood in line, and the kids got some free stuff and we finally got on the train. The train was neat, but not really kid friendly. It showed the costumes from the movie and documentary, and models, stuff that would have been really cool for an adult not so much a kid. But we didn't know what to expect. It got us out of the house at least.

More Summertime fun!

So as I mentioned before, every weekend and weekday we've got stuff going on to keep the kids preoccupied. So between swimming lessons for the girls and taking them on bike rides by Utah Lake, we've got the summer movies and them playing with there friends. Man, is it tiring. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't pregnant but Jon has helped a lot.

Mini Golf Anyone?

So with all the kids out of school and having Hannah this summer we've tried our hardest to keep everyone occupied. So here we are playing miniature golf at a local place that has glow in the dark mini golf. I think Jon and I had more fun competing than the kids but hey it was something to do. Maddy got an incredible hole in one and we took them for ice cream after. It's going to be a long summer!

Monsoon? Hurracaine? Nope June in Orem, UT!

It was a typical day in June, the sun was trying to shine through the heavy clouds and we expect a bit of rain but nothing like this. Jon was mowing the front lawn and weeding, while the kids were playing with there friends. Just a normal Saturday afternoon in June right? Wrong! Out of no where the winds picked up and the rain started poring down and then it didn't stop. I've got 2 videos to show how it started and how it ended and how drenched Maddy got from just a few minutes outside. You will have to go to our blog to see the video and you won't want to miss it. It was crazy! You'd think we lived in Florida, no offense Erica.
