Happy 2 months Landen!

Can you believe it's been 2 months since my beautiful baby boy was born. He's so big now, and strong man is he strong. He can pretty much hold his own head up by himself. Now that I'm working again he gets to spend lots of quality time with Daddy. That includes taking naps together as you can tell in the first picture. He has his 2 month physical tomorrow that Jon gets to take him to and witness the horrible shots he gets. Wish him luck. I know he's got to be around 13 to 14 lbs by now, at least that's what my back tells me.

Oh how a smile can lighten your day!

d
Every now and then we can get Landen to smile for us but I can never get it on camera except for today. He looked so stinken cute today I thought I would take pictures of him and I was lucky enough to catch a smile. I love it when he smiles because even when your up all night because he's not feeling good or he just won't go back to sleep at 2am, he can smile and you suddenly forget how tired you are. I love my Landen Boy so much, and he makes me smile everyday, Did he make you smile?

Landen's Baby Blessing

This last Sunday, Sept. 6th marks Landen being with us for 6 weeks but more importantly we were able to bless Landen Joseph at church. Jon's parents flew out from St. Louis to be part of this marvelous occasion. Here everyone is in their Sunday best with baby Landen all in white. The first picture has the Bayton boys, aren't they handsome. Scott and Susan (Jon's parents) are in the second picture with Tristen and Landen. It was a great day!

Dancing Landen

Madisen had music on one night while I had Landen laying the couch and he really liked the music. He started to dance to the music, now we can say he's Jon's son. It's amazing how in tune babies are with liking and not liking things. My baby boy is growing so fast and I'm trying to take in every precious moment.

4 hours never sounded so sweet

Finally! Landen slept 4hrs straight last night, I was jumping for joy at 2am this morning. It's crazy what a difference 2hrs and 4hrs straight can make. Only down side was that he was wide awake 2 hrs after that so I didn't get back to sleep til 4am but then he didn't wake up until almost 8am. So we have progress! It can only get better. The picture you see here is Landens mad face, which is usually when he's hungry. It's cute now but in a couple years I'll be pulling my hair out.

Can you believe it's been 4 weeks?

g

Today is Landen's 4 week birthday. He looks so big to me now, my little baby boy is around 10lbs now and is growing like crazy. It so weird to think I had him a month ago. I'm still getting over not being pregnant anymore. We look forward to everyday with Landen and can't wait for every little new thing he does. He's smiling more, and he laughed for the first time the other day. Although he mostly eats and sleeps still, when he's awake it's so exciting. As you can see we've been trying to give him more tummy time to strengthen his neck muscles and man is he strong. I'm going to try to give at least a month to month update on his progress so I hope everyone enjoys him as much as we have.

Oh what a difference a week can make.

It's only been a week and a half and already he looks so different. With all his unique faces, he's more and more awake now. He is such a good baby, he only cries when he's really hungry and most of the time he's just relaxing staring into space. I love him to pieces and wish babies didn't grow up so fast.

Nothing like a newborn to bring family together

We were lucky enough to have family come and visit even though we are so far away from everyone. It made all the difference to have family to come and help us with the kids and Landen.
Grandma Bev came to help with the kids before and after Landen came and we were very thankful and loved having her. Then Jon's sister Leah and her family came for a family wedding and luckily were able to see Landen just in time. The girls loved seeing there cousins once again.
And then finally my parents came a couple days after Landen was born and have cherished the time spent with there grandchildren. It's been a great blessing have Landen and that it also gave us a chance to bring some of our family near. Thank you to everyone.
